Prayer Meeting

Prayer is one of the greatest gifts from God. It has the power to change hearts, minds, and bodies. It is so important that Jesus himself was often found praying in public or communing in solitude with His Father.

Our church has seen the Spirit moving through the power of prayer. We have groups of people ready to pray for guidance, healing, understanding, or anything else that we want to lay at our Father’s feet.

If you have questions about the prayer team or want to join the prayer team at Denver South Church, please contact our Prayer Ministry Leader, Carol at 303.257.1416

Our Prayer Ministry took off at Denver South in the 1990s and it has continued to today. We are committed to praying for anyone who asks. Our prayer team is a dedicated confidential group committed to interceding for you and anyone else.

Even when we know God hears us, it can also be helpful to know that someone is praying alongside you. We want to pray alongside you.

We have two ways to share prayer requests. The first is click the “Prayer Request” button below. And if you want to pray with someone check the box marked as such. The second is to call our office and use our prayer request line.

We also have services on Saturday and there is a community of people that would love to be close and pray with you.

Every Wednesday our Prayer Ministries leader meets at our church’s chapel from 6:30pm-7:30pm to be a group that shares each others burdens and hardships and then prays together. They go into the Bible often to be reminded of God’s promises for their lives and they are growing together.

If you would like to join this kind of small group please join us each Wednesday at 6:30pm. Whether you are looking for prayer and support or are a prayer warrior or anything in between this is the place for you.

Answered Prayers

There’s an old story of a many who claimed he had seen God answer thousands of his prayers. This man had pages and pages of all of the things God had done in his life. People began to think that he was special, that he had extra favor with God. They went to the man and asked him plainly, “How do you get God to answer your prayers? Is there a secret?” The man simply smiled at them and said that the secret was that there was no secret. His only secret was that he wrote down all of the things he prayed for and marked off when God answered them.

We also want to watch God work and see all of the good gifts we are given. In the good times we remember because we know that God is the one who brought us here. And it reminds us in tough times that even when we can’t see clearly, God is working and with us.

If you have an update or answer to prayer we would love to hear about it. We would love to share it to remind others that God is moving and working and we can keep it confidential if you would like. Either way, sharing with someone what God has done is so powerful and multiplies the joy.

I have heard their cries of distress

The book of Exodus in the Bible is an ancient story of a God who hears his cry out. The gods of the day were gods that you had to please, make sacrifices to, and helped those in power. The God of the Bible says in Exodus 3:7…

Then the LORD told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am know of their suffering.

…This God hears the cries of the oppressed and seeks to liberate them. This is the same God we believe hears our cries for freedom, for healing, for love, for peace, for acceptance. This God, our God, your God is listening and ready to act.
